It's not okay
It's not okay for children to die, leaving the world to cry, wondering why It's not okay to be forced underground, to live with the sound of bombs all around It's not okay to not have a choice, to not have a voice, to say I can't choose, or I can't refuse It's not okay to live in the streets with nothing to eat, no shoes on your feet It’s not okay to be barely surviving while others are thriving It’s not okay when we can’t cope, and feel no hope as we walk the tightrope It’s not okay that the powers that be, ignore what they see, and allow tragedy It’s not okay, none of this is okay |
Love
Love isn't a straight line
I speak of all love, not just mine
It curves and twists, takes lefts and rights
It's sometimes weighted, sometimes light
It bends and sways and sometimes breaks
Leaving memories in its wake
I speak of all love, not just mine
It curves and twists, takes lefts and rights
It's sometimes weighted, sometimes light
It bends and sways and sometimes breaks
Leaving memories in its wake
Symphony
A woman sits alone, tear upon her cheek
Don’t ask her what’s she’s thinking because, she cannot speak
The words are in her somewhere, and yet she cannot say
A symphony of sadness, but one she cannot play
She is the conductor of this symphony of tears
A symphony for one, that no one else will hear.
Don’t ask her what’s she’s thinking because, she cannot speak
The words are in her somewhere, and yet she cannot say
A symphony of sadness, but one she cannot play
She is the conductor of this symphony of tears
A symphony for one, that no one else will hear.
